Lechuna Heritage Lodge is an traditional farmhouse located in the picturesque village of Haatoe, in the Haa Valley, one of the western-most and smallest district of Bhutan. Buried in history, untouched by time – in the villages and monasteries around this lodge, you can explore the paramount living culture & traditions, and steal a peek or engage yourself in experiencing daily lives of the villagers.
The main house stands tall, its original character intact. There are two entrances leading into the groumd floor. One side of this floor has been transformed into a snug little lounge. A perfect place to unwind in the evening. The other side of the ground floor has been converted into a reception area. A flight of wooden stairs from the reception area leads up to a landing on the first floor. There are one single and two double rooms on the first floor, each with two rows of windows looking out into the courtyard. The second floor has one triple and three double rooms with a three tier window in each. Both floors have two common European style flush toilets each. Two common hot showers on each floor.
From our Lechuna Heritage Lodge, you can go on different walks through the village of Lechuna. You can talk to the villagers, experience the traditional Bhutanese lifestyle and take time to see their work. From Lechuna Heritage Lodge you can continue walking down to the beautiful river of Haa Chhu. Cross the river and you walk through a pristine forest to reach the Jamte Gompa, a monastery over 300 years old. From the ancient monastery you will enjoy the best views of the southern Haa Valley from here.
